The Saco Bay Rotary Club honored local students with Student of the Month Recognition for their outstanding contributions to their schools through academics, social activities, and fellowship with other students. Each student was nominated and selected by the faculty of their school and had the opportunity to speak to members of the Rotary Club and share their stories and future plans. The honorees for the month of January 2026 are:
- Abdullah Saiwan of Biddeford High School accompanied by Saad, and teacher Ashley King
- RJ Oliver of Old Orchard Beach High School, accompanied by Patricia & Cadence, and teacher Irene Brackett
- Colby Sughrue of Thornton Academy, accompanied by Jennifer and Patrich, and teacher Josh Delcourt
Saco Bay Rotary Club President, David Arenstam, and Rotarian Jennifer Sirois presented each student with a certificate of recognition and a $50 gift card from Maine Community Bank. Please join us in congratulating each of these well-deserved students.
